About Me

I have been in the jewelry business for several years. I started in sales and then switched to being a quality control inspector for the past few years. When I was training as a salesperson, I was much more interested in the technical side of things and had little talent for sales. I'm not a persuasive person and I don't enjoy trying to get someone to buy anything that isn't the best thing for them.

Once I switched to quality control, I am so much happier. I love my job! I work with a shop of jewelers and I manage the flow of production from raw castings of gold to stone setting and then to final polish. My company takes repairs as well and I find myself confounded over all the things the general public doesn't know! The requests we get can seem so absurd to me, but that's not their fault. Before I started training in sales, I knew absolutely nothing about jewelry. So I decided to see if I could help.

My goal is to make the behind the scenes, nitty gritty, nuances of the jewelry world available for you. I will go through the very basic information and the details you didn't expect you needed to know.
